Snatch Thief Caught @ Guard House

A snatch thief on bike was caught around 11.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 5 January 2010 near Guard House (GH) B. The thief gained access via GH C, whereby he did not stop for the guard to collect his license, giving reason that he is visiting his relative and rode off.

The guard at GH C alerted the patrolling guard on the matter. The patrolling guard saw him approaching a school boy at Jalan ST 2. The thief split the scene when he realised that he is being tailed. The school boy told the patrolling guard that the person wanted money and his handphone.

Azman (patrolling guard) quickly alerted Ruslan (officer-in-charge), who was at ABC Restoran rushed to GH B . Upon reaching GH B , he saw the biker trying to snatch something from the grass cutter. Subsequently thereafter, Azman also reached there and kicked the thief off his bike. The thief fell into the drain and he was caught.

Ruslan contacted Damai Perdana police station and later informed the Head of Security Committee, Mr Ganesan, who then follow-up with Che Mat to send the patrol car. The patrol car reached around 12.40 pm. The thief was brought to the station. Ruslan, Azman and the grass cutter made the police report.

PPTST wishes to take this opportunity to thank Ruslan and Azman for doing a great job.

Message from The Chairman

Dear Concerned Residents and Committee Members,

I am glad to see constructive suggestions and comments via any form of communications from concerned parties, but I condemn anyone who spread rumor without evidence and worst if with motive to sabotage the effort of all the good works is rather irresponsible.

However, I would like to share with all that the committee of PPTST has invariably seeking corrective action and improvement from day one and with the persistent continued effort of committed committee members and the support from active volunteer members; together we have sailed through a lot of challenging time bringing together 95% of residents in TST to support the good cause, I believed the situation could only get better not only from the security services but also bringing together all the TST neighborhood together.

With this I would like to have your kind appreciation to this group of people who have great sense of social responsibility contributing their valuable time and effort fighting the ever rising crimes without expecting any personal gain.

In the mean time I wish to have everyone's patient to bear with the shortcoming of non quality security company. This is actually a global concern in the country as every Taman in the country like ours are facing difficulty to engage a quality security company with the constraint of budget, as such the search continues until we find a suitable one.

For your info the PPTST committee has just completed the selection of another new guard company (the fifth in 2 years) yesterday and we will finalize the details arrangement for them to start asap. Let's pray together so that this new security company could perform to our expectation.

Best Regards.
